I really miss the ability to tag projects or use custom fields on project level.
Are there any plans to introduce this in the near future?

Hello,
All projects can have their own custom fields at the moment (if you are currently on the Pro subscription plan)
Once you create the custom field within the Settings > Custom fields, you will be able to choose and set it within every single project.
You would also be able to set the different placeholders or lock the custom fields on the project level.
