We only gotten the new look last week.
At work, we were all about to start crying.
It’s just… horrible.
- Ridiculous amount of random padding in some places, while other information is bunched up. There’s no rhyme or reason to the layout. It just feels like someone was given a toy and they went wild with it… with no justification.
- No Play button to Continue ( Yes, I’ve seen the other posts requesting it be put back. )
- There’s no logic to elements’ sizes and disposition. Everything just sort of floats within its container and doesn’t line up with anything else. It feels like the designers were working with Lorem Ipsum, not knowing which field was which and attributing random visual weight to each one.
- We don’t use descriptions much. We need info about the company and the task. Those have both been relegated to a tiny row information… So we’re, basically, staring at a wall of ( no description ) elements.
- The stacks for multiple instances of the same Company+Task mean nothing. Since everything else is floating, they just look like a defect… and when you do expand them, there’s no link to the main task they’re referencing. They’re just floating there, on their own.
- The fuchsia stop button is so intense and distracting while everything else is has a generic 1990s Java muted palette. You just want to press it to have it stop blaring at you.
There are multiple other issues, but just these are enough to make us seriously consider moving to an alternative application. We really don’t want to continue working with this interface.
This isn’t meant as an attack at anyone in particular.
But we’d really like to know if you could offer a “legacy theme” that has the older look
… or if we should start looking elsewhere.
Thank you for your time,
Michal Bluma
