While there’s no way to do that at the moment, the good news is that we are considering implementing an “Undo delete” feature for time entries and expenses in one of our upcoming releases.
Feel free to follow our official Roadmap page and we also send notifications when there’s a new release. It is currently in progress.
Thanks for shipping this – but I have to be honest: for a large portion of users, this implementation is pretty much useless.
Clockify can be used from multiple interfaces – the web app, the mobile app, the desktop app, and the browser extension. The Undo toast only appears in the web app. Anyone who accidentally deletes a time entry from their phone, desktop app, or browser extension gets nothing. No toast, no safety net, no way back.
Accidental deletions happen everywhere, not just in the browser. A solution that only covers one out of four interfaces isn’t really a solution – it’s a feature for a minority of use cases.
Would it be possible to reconsider the approach? A proper safety net – whether that’s a Recycle Bin, a short-term recovery window in account settings, or at least Audit Log access for all plan tiers – would actually solve the problem for everyone, regardless of which interface they use.
This has been requested since 2020. It deserves a real fix.
Appreciate your feedback on this and sharing your point of view, I do think that other users might benefit from this option being present on other apps too!
I will present this idea fully to our Product team and the reasons behind this, so they can consider expanding this feature further.
