Our Admins would love to be able to assign a total project budget estimate and then assign portions of that budget to tasks. Then when budgeting out tasks it would be nice to see if you are going over budget.

With the current design of the app, there is an option for task budgets, but there is no option for a custom budget estimate - the total budget of all tasks together is going to dictate the total budget for that Projet.

Yeah I understand the current design. I guess it makes more sense to me to be able to assign an estimate to tasks out of a larger project budget rather than doing the math every time I allocate funds to a task.
My organization usually gets a defined budget from a contract and then we have to make sure not to over spend that budget. In the current setup it is a pain to allocated budgets to individual tasks while not going over our overall project budget.
