Can I convert a task into a project

I’ve been creating seperate tasks for each client under the project name of “Online work for Clients”. I now realize I should have been creating seperate projects for each client. This would have given me the option of grouping projects together by client.

Can I convert each task into a project or is it too late to do this once the tasks have already been completed?

If this functionality is not available, it is possible you could consider adding this feature in future?

Welcome to the Clockify forum.

You can consider 2 options:

• Manually creating those tasks as Projects then transferring time entries from tasks to Projects with the same name (you can transfer entries in Detailed report) and deleting tasks after that or,
• Using custom labels on your existing categorization (renaming Project tier into Clients and Task tier into projects), here is the full guide: Time categorization & tags - Clockify Help

I know this is an old post but has it now become possible to bulk edit task entries under a single project and convert each different task into a different project. I currently have multiple tasks under a single project and would like to turn each of those tasks into different projects. However manually doing this would take a lot of time.

I see there is an option in the paid version " Update multiple time entries in a bulk" but I don’t know if this would work.
