Bug: Clockify Beta Login not working on Windows

In Windows, the Login function of the new Clockify Beta app doesn’t work.
The problem was because I had previously installed the old version and when installing a new one it doesn’t update its path in registry so when you try to log in from a browser, it doesn’t open a Clockify Beta because the path stays old.

To manually fix this problem you have to go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\clockify\shell\open\command (from the Registry Editor program) and update the path to your newly installed Clockify Beta.exe file.

I was also able to log in by modifying in regedit

If the issue persists:

  1. Uninstall Clockify desktop app
  2. Go to C:\Users\yourfoldername\AppData\Roaming\Clockify (don’t forget to customize yourfoldername)
  3. Delete everything inside
  4. Click “Start” button, type “Registry Editor”, and open it
  5. Go to \HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\clockify and delete everything inside
  6. Reinstall Clockify desktop app
